Oro Valley is located in the northwest part of the Tucson valley against the west end of the Catalina Mountains. One of the jewels of Oro Valley is Canada Hills which is a community of several subdivisions. However, this is not the standard type of community. In this case, the community lies around and alongside a 36 hole golf course.

According to the Tucson MLS, Canada Hills homes for sale are made up of some town homes and 2, 3, 4, and a few 5 bedroom homes. The prices range from under $200,000 to well over $1,000,000.

Golf is not the only sport enjoyed in Canada Hills. Tennis is popular as is swimming in either private pools or at the country club. Additionally relaxing and enjoying the dramatic scenery of the mountains is a great way to spend and afternoon. The Catalinas are to the east, the Tortolitas are in the northwest and the Tucson Mountains are to the south.

Canada Hills is divided into subdivisions known as villages. One of these is Canada Hills Estates. The thing that sets Canada Hills Estates apart is that it is a gated village.

Shopping is another “sport” enjoyed in Oro Valley as there are numerous shops and boutiques throughout the area. Excellent restaurants are also not far away.

Canada Hills is in the Amphitheater (Amphi) Public School System. One of the highlights at Amphi is the willingness of the staff and parents to create a better attention to the music and the arts in their schools. A point of interest is that science fiction writer Ray Bradbury attended school in the Amphi District.
