FAIRFIELD REAL ESTATE FOR SALE
TUCSON, ARIZONA 85750

A large part of the north area of Tucson is known as “the foothills”. Homes continue to move higher and higher onto the slopes of the Catalina Mountains which run east and west and tend to be the north boundary of the city. One of the major reason people move into the foothills is for the views. As homes and businesses spread throughout the Tucson valley, the night lights more and more resemble a jewel box and the storms which rumble through the area in our monsoon summers bring their share of nature at her most dramatic. At the same time, there is much to be said for the mountain views as well. Many foothills homes have telescopes aimed at the peaks and crevasses that tower overhead. Therefore the foothills are in demand.

Based on this, Fairfield was a perfect answer as to what to do with the ridges that existed along the lower portion of the mountains. The goal of the Fairfield builder’s was to place homes along the ridges in such a way that just about every lot had a city or mountain view and some had both.

According to the Tucson MLS, Fairfield homes for sale are made up mainly of single family homes most of which were built between 1979 and 1992 and are priced between $235,000 to over $665,000. Almost all of them are 1 story with 2 and 3 bedrooms and have from 1400 to 3400 square feet. The style of these homes includes Territorial, Santa Fe, Ranch, Contemporary, Patio Home and Mediterranean.

The foothills area near Fairfield offers numerous markets, shops and restaurants and additionally it is a short drive into the city itself and to the malls and major strip centers.

Due to the wide area covered by Fairfield, the community falls into two school districts, Tucson Unified School District. and Catalina Foothills School District
