Fondly known as Midvale Park, this community located in the southwest part of Tucson was one of the first “planned communities” in our area. The location was selected with easy access to the I-10 and the I-19 corridors.

Construction began in 1984 and continued on into 2002. According to the Tucson MLS, Midvale homes for sale are currently between $45,000 and $166,000. Homes are 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms. They range in size from 800 to over 2,000 square feet.

The style of the homes in Midvale are Contemporary, Ranch, Patio Home, Southwestern and Santa Fe. This tends to create a feeling of choice and shows the diversity of the several builders of the community.

Among the many programs implemented by the Homeowner’s Association in Midvale is the Teen Citizens’ Police Academy. Here is a short version of what they offer:
“The Tucson Police Department Teen Citizens’ Police Academy is modeled after the Citizens’ Police Academy. It is designed to give young people the opportunity to learn about the Tucson Police Department and its operations, and to demonstrate the benefits of law enforcement and community policing in our city.”

Midvale is located in Tucson Unified School District. The schools are Tucson High, Pistor Middle School and Grijalva Elementary.
