EL CON MALLLocated on the east side of Tucson about three miles from Park Place Mall is Arizona’s oldest indoor mall. It was created from the buildings that had housed the original El Conquistador hotel. The idea was an indoor shopping place where customers could go from store to store in air conditioned comfort.
Today El Con Mall is undergoing a huge change. It is being upgraded to an old world look while adding to the number of stores, restaurants and entertainment. Even now, a family could enjoy a full day of shopping ending with dinner and a choice of movies at the 20 screen complex.
The information booth provides strollers and wheelchairs as well as a place to purchase lottery tickets, bus passes and gift certificates.
