Can you believe it? There are people who LOVE jumping out of perfectly
good airplanes!! Well, there are and many of them live in Tucson. Many
others come to Tucson to skydive due to our great weather and lovely
mountain and desert scenery.
The Marana drop (scary word) zone is located just 15 minutes from downtown
Tucson. It is easy to drive out and jump over the beautiful Tucson mountains.
Student, military and group rates are available. Marana Skydiving Center
is a USPA-licensed group member parachute center.
Visitors may take a first time jump lesson and jump. This class is
a simple, concise one-day class designed to prepare students for their
first solo parachute jump. Emphasis is placed on basic building blocks
in order to enhance continued student performance. The class includes
all the information required to make a first solo jump at Marana Skydiving
Center (MSC) using their large docile ram-air parachutes. Simple straightforward
emergency procedures are stressed. The main parachute is automatically
activated as you leave the jump plane. The cost of the class includes
the first solo jump.
The center also offers a refresher course.
